Commenting without sounding like a chatbot
By Noah Kim
Comments are where executives show taste. The mistake is either drive-by praise or paragraph lectures. We practice a three-line hinge: acknowledge the claim, add one concrete observation, invite a narrower follow-up.
This pattern scales across enterprise threads where external reviewers might read later. It also keeps you out of performative debates that age poorly.
We do not script identical phrases for everyone—that reads hollow fast. Instead, we build a small library of hinges tied to your domain verbs, then vary openings manually.
If your role is confidential, we keep hinges intentionally broad. That trade-off is normal: you gain safety, you lose some specificity until clearance arrives.
